Making peace with the past

1. Acceptance: Recognize that the past cannot be changed. Accept that certain events, actions, or circumstances have occurred and that they are a part of your history. Acknowledge that dwelling on what could have been or what should have happened only prolongs your pain and prevents you from moving forward.

2. Understand your emotions: Allow yourself to feel and process the emotions associated with your past experiences. This might involve grief, anger, guilt, or sadness. Give yourself permission to experience these emotions fully, but also be mindful not to let them consume you.
