Ethics is beyond laws and rules abiding; it is about respecting the rights of others, be it human/non-human or living/non-living things, i.e. respecting the eco-system. Ethical issue will not arise if we do not encroach or deny the rights of others (human/non-human or living/non-living things). The acid test is: do (not do) unto others what we (do not) want others to do unto us. If the answer is positive, we pass this test and thus pass the ethics test.
